Using imported state-of-the-art high technology in its food production system, Dewina Food became the first company in South-East Asia to adopt the food packing and processing technique developed in the US and Japan known as retort pouch process.
Apart from being the manufacturer of "Brahim's", Malaysia's household name for shelf stable retort pouched convenience foods, Dewina Food is also one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of military rations in the region.
Dewina became a public company in 1995, on strength of Dewina Food Industries performance and then diversified into various areas of food services and catering.
The group subsequently developed strategic partnerships with global leaders in industrial and institutional catering, food services and flight catering and currently serves more than 100,000 meals a day through its industrial catering businesses and employs more than 2500 workers.
